This is a nice grass to add some texture to a garden, and it is one of the few grasses that is well-suited for partially shaded environments. Its name comes from the shapes of the seed head, which ours don’t have yet because they are just babies! They come in 3 inch pots and are pickup only

Blooming Period: June to August.
Light: Full sun to shade.
Water: Dry to moist.
Soil: Sand, loam, clay.
Native Ontario Habitat: Prairies, open woodlands and savannahs.
