Dense blazing star is an upright perennial reaching approx. 3-4 ft. The grass-like leaves are clumped toward the base of the plant, and the flower clusters extend up upwards to form a tall spike of pinkish-purple (sometimes white), closely set flower heads. This species is adaptable to most conditions, even to containers, as long as it is in sunny conditions with adequate water.
These seeds were harvested on our own property last fall. We have a very large population so we wanted to be able to share with others the amazing purple flower stalks of this species.
