This showy perennial typically has one unbranched 2-3 ft. stems, with lavender-blue, tubular flowers crowded together on the upper stem. This plant is closely related to the cardinal flower and is a highly desirable plant for woodland gardens, blooming bright blue in late summer. Attracts hummingbirds and is a great source of food for native bees!
