This tough plant thrives in poor soil, spreads easily and is even deer-proof! On top of that it smells like mint from the flowers to the roots! The plant is actually more closely related to the wild bergamots than true mint, but if you like a fresh minty smell this will work just as well.
Pollinators love this plant as well, and it is designated of special importance to native bees. Mountain mint will spread easily but if you have a smaller space, put it in a drier spot and that will limit the spread.
These starters are sold in three inch pots are are pick up only.
